Meet the people
Simon Moloi, Acting Implementation Manager
“This experience has given me the privilege of advancing my passion, which is to make a positive contribution to local government and the lives of young and upcoming professionals…seeing them grow to become responsible citizens.”
Hailing from Senekal, Simon Moloi kick-started his career in 2008 as a Trainee Auditor at the Office of the Auditor General in Bloemfontein. It was here that his values of objectivity, integrity and honesty took shape. He later joined Morar Incorporated in 2014 as an Audit Assistant Manager. His accumulated experience fuelled his interest in local government, which led him to join Sebata Municipal Solutions in August 2018. Through hard work, sacrifice and impeccable client service, he was promoted from Accountant to Senior Accountant, then Project Manager and now Acting Implementation Manager. Simon currently mentors two SAIPA trainee accountants and services three clients. Besides being fully involved in implementation, Simon also assists with business development as well. He participated in various user group conferences in which he took the leading role.
When asked to relate his experience with the company, he comments:
“This experience has not only taught me the value of personal sacrifice, but has given me the privilege of advancing my passion, which is to make a positive contribution to local government and the lives of young and upcoming professionals such as SAIPA and SAICA trainees and basically see them grow to become responsible citizens in the communities they live in.”
Boipelo Ohentswe, SAIPA Trainee Accountant
“I wanted a place where I could develop a successful career, and Sebata has given me that platform”
Boipelo Ohentswe ranks among the first trainees to write and pass the SAIPA board under Sebata. Boipelo joined Sebata in April 2015. Her expectation was to join an organisation that offered a welcoming workplace environment and the opportunity to grow. She comments: “I wanted a place where I could develop a successful career and Sebata has given me that platform”. Boipelo steadily gained deeper insight into the industry and local government, which has significantly helped her in forging her career as an accountant.
Qualifying as a professional accountant has been one of her biggest achievements thus far. She is thankful to her mentors for their consistent and patient guidance that has instilled confidence in her abilities.
